That viral TikTok gave me quite a January — over 350,000 views and a 10x jump in followers? Yes. Incredible to get to connect with so many people who had no idea these authentic recipes from real politicians existed. I got amazing comments from people on these:
“Viscera”
“Slop”
“Mystical white people food”
So many more. And then a producer caught wind of my theater of disgust, and in two days I was talking about mustard jello with Peabody Award-winning journalist Scott Simon on NPR’s Weekend Edition.
